Title: Margarita Stitch Pineneedle Basket with Stone Base
Students will learn how to create a harness for a round or oval rock slice, then how to adapt the harness to irregular shapes and thicknesses by using the Margarita Stitch. Students will then work with pine needles to create their stone- based baskets using coiling techniques / methods.
It is helpful if students have some knowledge of coiling techniques / methods. Over the course of the 2 day workshop, most students finish one basket and get a good start on a 2nd basket.

In addition to the registration fee, there is a materials fee of $65 per student to be paid directly to the instructor on the first day of the workshop. This fee covers 3 rock bases, pine needles, waxed linen, a stitching needle, and several pages of printed instructions.
There will be more rocks, fossils and Abalone shells, and waxed linen stitching needles available to purchase from the instructor at the workshop.
